Kobe Bryant Book: Lakers Guard Will Work on His Memoir? (Tweet)

Kobe Bryant is writing a book. What should he name it?

Bryant has had a lot of time to think about things: his career, parenting and life in general after suffering his ACL injury right as the Lakers were making a playoff push. Los Angeles got into the playoffs without their court general, but it was a very disappointing ending to the season for Bryant, who is searching for his sixth championship and has made it clear that he is not ready to walk out from the game just yet.

What could the book be about?

Well, Bryant has always compared himself to the greatest. Many people have compared him to Jordan. They have broken down his skill assets and his game and though Bryant is the best following Jordan’s departure, many don’t think he’s the best to ever play the game. Bryant could discuss the pressures of playing under Jordan’s eternal shadow.

Bryant has also gone through off the court ordeals that accompany the world class athletes, from divorce rumors to court cases. He might discuss what he was going through as Bryant’s personal life went viral and public. Dave Chapelle gave his take on the rape incident back in 2003. (Explicit)

Kobe Bryant is known for slicing and dicing opponents. He’s known for his ability of loving the ball in his hands in the closing minutes of a ball game (what some would consider ball hogging) and he’s known for his passion of being better than the best, Michael Jordan. Now, the NBA’s best player following the retirement of Jordan will take his skills on paper as he has declared that he’s ready to write a book.

We are not joking.

Bryant, a now avid Tweeter, has expressed many things through the social media site. He has even given coaching tips to the Los Angeles Lakers during the playoffs as Bryant saw his guys lose in four straight games to the San Antonio Spurs. This time, Bryant shares with fans that he thinks it’s time for his side of the story.

Of course, this is a way for Bryant to vent whatever frustrations he might have against coaches or teammates. The great Phil Jackson discussed how he thought Jordan was the better player in a recent book. So Bryant might cover that incident in his story. Or imagine Bryant does an Andre Agassi and talks about how much he hated the sport?

Whatever the case is, Bryant looks ready to take his game outside of the court and into literature as the 5-time NBA Champion will put it all on writing.
